The Mt. Pleasant Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Commission Chambers, 320 W. Broadway St. Below are a few topics on the agenda you may want to follow:

Here are the topics to watch at the next in person, as well as virtual Mt. Pleasant City Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 26, 2026, at 7 p.m.

  • ZBA-26-01 – 116 N Mission – A variance application has been filed by Graff –MTPBGRCRE LLC, requesting approval for temporary signs under section 154.414 Subsection B(3).
  • ZBA-26-02 – 1422 E Pickard – A variance application has been filed by Graff – MTPRE LLC, requesting approval for temporary signs under section 154.414 Subsection B(3).
  • PZBA-26-01 – 1222 North Drive – A variance application has been filed by Isabella County Medical Care Facility, requesting a variance to Table 154.405.A in the CD-4 to increase the height of a fence from 4 ft to 6 ft within the frontage area.

  • Proclamation recognizing February as Black History Month.
  • Public Hearing on Resolutions #3 and #4 for Special Assessment District #1-26 for the Principal Shopping District.
  • Public hearing on proposed changes to section 110.28(B) regarding transitory food service units, including permits, licenses, and approvals.
  • Consideration of appointments to various boards and commissions by the Appointments Committee.
  • Work session on updates to the fire code.

Topics to Watch at the Mt. Pleasant City Commission Meeting – January 26, 2026

Here are the topics to watch at the next in person, as well as virtual Mt. Pleasant City Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, January 26, 2026, at 7 p.m.

  • Kati Mora, President of the Middle Michigan Development Corporation (MMDC), will give a presentation on MMDC’s 2025 Annual Report.
  • Commissioners will consider setting a public hearing for February 9, 2026, to allow input from the community on proposed amendment to the regulation of food trucks and other temporary food vendors.
  • The Commission will make various appointments to City boards and committees.
  • A work session will be held to discuss and prioritize the 2026 City Commission work sessions and interests.
