7) Received proposed Ordinance to amend Title V: PUBLIC WORKS, Chapter 52: WATER of the City’s Code of Ordinances to add a new section entitled Administration and Enforcement and set a public hearing for Monday, September 9, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. on same.

8) Received proposed Ordinance to amend Title XV: LAND USE, Chapter 152: HOUSING LICENSING CODE of the City’s Code of Ordinances and set a public hearing for Monday, September 9, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. on same.

9) Bid of Gateway Refrigeration, Inc., of Clare, MI for the 2024 Boiler Replacement Bid.

10) Gave support of Mid-Michigan Regional Lime Calciner Study and appointed DPW Director Jason Moore as the City Representative.

11) Approved warrants and payrolls.

Held a public hearing and passed, ordained, and ordered published Ordinance 1097 an Ordinance to amend Title IX: GENERAL REGULATIONS, Chapter 96: Nuisances, Section 96.05 LAWN MAINTENANCE; HEIGHT; REMOVAL OF NOXIOUS WEEDS of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Mt. Pleasant.

9) Contract with Willy’s Contracting of Saginaw, MI to raze and restore 402 N. Arnold St. and 1306 Upton St.

10) Warrants and payrolls.

Approved the purchase of two (2) BMW police motorcycles and reallocated police officer position vacancy savings from the 2024 budget to cover same.

Reallocated funds earmarked for replacement of the Police Department interview room which was included in the 2024 budget to be used to purchase a new Detective vehicle.

Approved the purchase of Pontem Cemetery Management software and a budget amendment for same.

Approved appointments to applicable City boards and commissions as recommended by the Appointments Committee.

Held a work session discussion on Managed Natural Landscaping.

10) Contract with Bornor Restoration, Inc. of Lansing, MI for DPS – Masonry Screen Wall project.

11) Warrants and payrolls.

Approved a contract with Placer.ai for one year of access and a budget amendment for the same and a budget amendment for the internship program.

Adopted the 2025 Goals and Objectives.

Director Lauria provided an overview of suggested changes to the current draft Managed Natural Landscaping Ordinance. Commissioner consensus ruled against any form of registration and the term “Managed” versus “Planned.”

Appointed Mayor Perschbacher as the City representative to the County Tax Allocation Board.

Conducted work session discussions on 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Plan and on Refuse and Recycling Pickup Services.
