Beginning June 14, the community is encouraged to make downtown its destination for the return of Thrilling Thursdays! Co-sponsored by Downtown Mt. Pleasant and Isabella Community Credit Union, each Thrilling Thursday features fun activities and offerings designed to engage all members of the family. Thrilling Thursdays begin at 6 p.m. at Town Center, with the exception of the Supersoaker Festivus, which will be held at Island Park.

- June 21: Let’s Ride with the Mt. Pleasant Optimist Club
- June 28: Fun with Vegetables with McLaren Central Michigan*

- July 19: Mad Science Fair with Kim Kady the Science Lady*
July 26: It’s Nature! With CMU Play on the Way
- August 2: Stepping Stones with Mt. Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau
- August 9: Urban Printmaking with Art Reach and Paul Waters*

The regular meetings of the Mt. Pleasant City Commission scheduled between Memorial Day and Labor Day (May 28 – Sept. 3), will begin at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
The City Commission meets the second and fourth Monday of the month in the City Commission Chambers at Mt. Pleasant City Hall, 320 W. Broadway in Mt. Pleasant. Commission work sessions and special meetings are scheduled as needed.
In recognition of Memorial Day, the second meeting in May will occur Tuesday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m.
Meetings can also be viewed live on Channel 188. The meetings are rebroadcasted (for two weeks following the meeting) daily at noon, as well as Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., or can be viewed on the MAC TV website at www.mactvnetwork.org.

Start Smart™ tee-ball, flag football and golf: The Start Smart™ program is designed to assist parents in the development of their child’s basic motor skills and confidence in a specific sport. If you’re looking for a program both you and your child can experience together, this is the one for you! You’ll learn sportsmanship and skill development while having a blast together.
Does your child want to improve their tennis game? Ranging from beginners to advanced players, tennis lessons are offered throughout the summer for kids ages 3 to 14. Receive a racquet after registration and get out on the court for this month-long camp.
Kids aren’t the only ones who get to have fun this summer…grab a group of friends, family members or even co-workers and sign up for an adult league! A fun twist on all the sports you used to love, Parks & Rec. offers kickball, sand volleyball or softball adult leagues.
Tennis lessons are also offered to adults age 15 and above focusing on learning the essentials of the game.
