MT. PLEASANT, Mich., – The Mt. Pleasant Police Department (MPPD) is investigating a shooting which occurred at Campus Habitat located in the 700 block of Edgewood Drive. Officers responded to the call at 5:57 p.m.
Upon arrival officers determined the location of the shooting and secured the area. An unidentified male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers identified a person of interest and are speaking with witnesses. There is no risk to the public.
The name of the victim will be released pending the notification of family members. This is an ongoing investigation.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department was assisted by Michigan State Police, Isabella County Sheriff’s Department, Central Michigan University Police, Mobile Medical Response and Mid-Michigan Investigative Narcotics Team.
