Mt. Pleasant Fire Department responds to fire at 325 N. Lansing St.

On February 11, 2020 at 4:13 p.m. the Mount Pleasant Fire Department responded with two engines, one rescue unit and twenty personnel to a structure fire at 325 N. Lansing Street. Firefighters arriving on scene observed heavy smoke coming from the north side of the structure. The fire was quickly brought under control. There is heavy smoke and fire damage to the lower apartment. The second floor apartment sustained heavy smoke damage only. 

No firefighter injuries occurred on scene. All occupants were able to escape the building. Two occupants were treated and transported to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation. The Mount Pleasant Fire Department is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Damages are estimated to be $150,000.00
