Received petitions and communications.
Approved the following items on the Consent Calendar: 4) Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Commission held September 14, 2026;
5) Renewal of Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) hangar lease;
6) Resolution in support of TCO #2-2026;
7) Resolution in support of TCO #3-2026;
8) Payrolls & Warrants.
Held a public hearing for developer selection & PILOT and MSA Extension for Mill Street Landing.
Approved the selection of Spire Development, Inc. and the Mount Pleasant Housing Commission for the development of the Mill Street Landing project at 410 Mill Street, 200 Walnut Street and 208 Walnut Street.
Passed, ordained and ordered published Ordinance 1115, an Ordinance to amend PILOT Ordinance No. 1092 to extend the date by which construction of the Mill Street Landing housing development must commence, and include 208 Walnut Street into the development proposal and passed its accompanying Resolution.
Approved the proposed MSA Agreement and passed its accompanying Resolution.
Appointed Joseph Carreon to the Zoning Board of Appeals, partial term expiring December 31, 2026.
Directed staff to create a policy requiring continuing education of board and committee members to complete for consideration of re-appointments including requirement of two hours of ethics, two hours of parliamentary procedure, and two hours of additional topics to be brought forward at a work session.
Prioritized and approved submission of City requests for fall 2026 Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe 2% allocations.
Moved to seek guidance from the City Attorney on how House Bill 6074 currently impacts or has impacted the City of Mt. Pleasant and similar actions that the City could take by City ordinance.
Conducted a Work Session discussion on proposed 2027 Operating Budget
