On Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10:12 a.m. a call involving an aggressive dog in a neighborhood located on Mt. Pleasant’s west side was dispatched. During the call the dog’s owner was found deceased in her home. The deceased female was identified as 24 year-old Mt. Pleasant resident, Bianca Nieto.
On Monday, July 8, 2019, Mt. Pleasant Police Department Detectives received information from the Sparrow Medical Examiner’s Office stating there were no signs of trauma resulting in the death of Nieto. A final autopsy report is pending due to toxicology and tissue lab results, which could take up to 6-8 weeks.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department was assisted by the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police Department and the Sparrow Medical Examiner’s Office.
