Water Main Repair at Pickard St. and N. Adams St.

UPDATE 2/13/2026 10:30 a.m. – Crews are continuing water main repairs on West Pickard Street this morning.

The water main will be shut down briefly to complete the work. The southernmost eastbound lane of West Pickard Street, from North Henry Street to North Adams Street, will remain closed through the weekend.

Additional updates will be provided as work continues.


The City of Mt. Pleasant’s Water Distribution and Streets departments are repairing a water main at the intersection of Pickard St. and N. Adams St. Crews are currently on-site completing the work.

At this time, the outside eastbound lane of Pickard St. is closed, along with N. Adams St. from Arthur St. to Pickard St.

Updates will be provided if additional traffic impacts or service interruptions occur.

Water Main Break Affects Edgewood Dr. and Deming Dr.

FINAL UPDATE 2/2/2026: The boil water advisory for properties on Edgewood Dr. and Deming Dr. has been lifted as of 5 p.m. on Monday, February 2. Water may now be used and consumed as normal.


UPDATE 1/31/2026: Water service has been restored. Residents in the affected area may use water for normal household use, but should not consume. A boil water advisory remains in effect until further notice.

Updates will be shared when the advisory is lifted.


The City of Mt. Pleasant is responding to a water main break affecting residents and property owners on Edgewood Dr. and Deming Dr. City crews are currently working to repair the break and restore water service as quickly and safely as possible.

Once water service has been restored, properties impacted by the outage will be placed under a boil water advisory. Additional details will be provided when available.

The City appreciates residents’ patience and cooperation during this repair.

City of Mt. Pleasant Water Main Flushing Schedule Updated (4/22/25)

During Spring 2025, all city water mains south of High Street to Deerfield Road will be flushed. This preventative maintenance project began on April 7, 2025.

Properties within the flushing perimeters may notice an occasional drop in water pressure and slight water discoloration and odor. If so, you are encouraged to remove your faucet aerators and run the water until clear. The water is safe to drink.

During this process water may pool over roadways. Please travel with caution and do not drive through standing water.

The proposed water main flushing schedule for the month of May is as follows:

Week of 4/28/2025: THIS AREA WILL NOW BE COMPLETED BETWEEN 4/23 – 4/25/2025. Area inside the borders of Main Street to Isabella Road and High Street to Preston.

Week of 4/28: Area inside the borders of Bradley to Isabella Road and High Street to Broomfield.

Week of 5/5/2025: Area inside the borders of Crawford Road to Mission Street and Broomfield to Deerfield Road.

Week of 5/12 through the end of May: Area inside the borders of Lincoln Road to Washington Street and High Street to Broomfield.
